St Patrick's Primary School, Cullyhanna

Primary 2 October 2025

25th Oct 2025

This month has been a busy month in P2.  At the beginning of the month we celebrated World Rosary Day when the whole school and young people all over the world joined together to say the Rosary for peace.

During Maths week we enjoyed all kinds of problem solving and practical games.  We thoroughly enjoyed joining up with P6 who helped us count and complete different PE skills.

We visited the Palace Stables in Armagh as part of our Apple Topic.  We had a great time making apple juice using an apple press, playing apple games, making apple cake and learning all about the life cycle and journey of an apple during the year.  We even had time to go to the playpark and we all had a great time.  A special word of thanks to Jason’s Grandad who gave us all a carton of apple juice which we enjoyed drinking on our trip.  Thank you so much.

At Halloween we dressed up, made ghosts and skeletons, ducked for apples, made Halloween buns and Ms Ardle even did a great pumpkin Halloween experiment.  We also had a Jersey day and Mrs McKeown gave everyone red, yellow and black plaits and flags to celebrate St Patrick’s Cullyhanna in the County Final.  We want to wish the team and management all the best of luck! UP THE PATS!!
