Primary 2 May News

2nd Jun 2026

We have been busy learning about The Farm this month and all living things.  We had lots of visitors.  Firstly Ronan (P1) and Sarah (P4) were able to tell us all about their milking farm in Carrickrovaddy and how their Daddy uses milking machines in the milking parkour to milk  their cows.  The milk is then collected, cooled and sent to factories to make butter, cheese, yougurt etc

Then Daithi  (P4) came to visit us and tell us all about Stanford’s Eggs and how his Dads new machine can collect, clean and grade the eggs ready to be packed into boxes or trays to be sold.

The kids have also been planting seeds in the poly tunnel with Nora.  We are watering them and watching them grow every week.  They also painted symmetrical butterflies and used chalk to draw sunflowers by Vincent Van Gogh 🌻

The children were delighted to put on their wellies and waterproofs and use our new outdoor area.  They have been building sandcastles in the sand pit and dens and obstacle courses in the construction area. They are all having a wonderful time and Primary 7 were guiding and helping them too!
