Numeracy – In the month of May, we have been constructing 3D shapes using nets. We looked at finding percentage increases and decreases and percentages of an amount.
We then moved on to looking at the perimeter and area of a regular shapes and compound shapes.

Literacy – This month for our grammar and punctuation we looked at antonyms, homophones, suffixes and more. May was very successful because we learned so much in a short time.
My favourite thing we did this month would be adverbs, cautionary tales and abbreviations. My cautionary tale was about a girl called London who never ever lied which got her in a bit of bother.

WAU – This month we started a new topic in World Around Us called Titanic. We were learning about the timeline of the Titanic, where it travelled and key dates. The Titanic was built between 1908 and 1909.
It set sail on April 12th, 1912, and at 12:05am on the 14th of April, it hit an iceberg. We learned about the history of the titanic and the passengers. We found out that a third-class ticket was between £3 and £8 and a first-class ticket was £870.

P6 had great fun taking part in the Litter Pick.
We also got to continue with our reading buddies scheme with Mrs McKeown's P2 class.
