P5 enjoyed their World Around Us trip to the Cardinal O'Fiaich Hertiage Centre in Cullyhanna. As part of our topic 'Our Community'.
Local historian Una Walsh spoke about the history of our local area. She helped establish the townlands that we live in.
Then we looked at old school photos and compared them to todays photos. We learned about local landmarks and the stories behind them. The girls were excited to find out that Roche Castle was actually built by a WOMAN!! Then we focused on the life of the late great Cardinal O'Fiach.
