P5 Pupils of the Week 12th June 2020

11th Jun 2020

This week I was delighted to see photos of delicious milkshakes following on from our Literacy work on Instructions last week. You are learning great life skills while working from home.

Liam was busy with gardening duties and tidying up the fairy garden wearing his homemade tie dye t-shirt. Caoimhe is busy cooking and made lovely scrambled eggs for breakfast. She is also working very hard on her spellings and division facts.  Frank has worked hard every day to master his skills on the new method for written division. Adam focused on St. Kevin in Religion and produced a beautiful poster that represented the stories he had read and listened to about St. Kevin.  Maia was very creative this week and made a superb star spaceship out of paper plates and tin foil and a green eyed alien made out of toilet rolls.

P5 have retained the trophy for 2 weeks in a row in Accelerated Reader. Maia and Joe reached their targets for Term 3.  This is Joe’s 2nd target for this term. James has been working hard by quizzing to try to get his target before the end of term.  James has also been grooming his dog Coco due to the dog groomer not being available during lockdown. So James took matters into his own hands and give Coco a good wash, cut and blow dry. Hairdressers and dog groomers beware you will have competition in years to come!!

Danielle McClelland has been working daily with maths activities and has gained a Gold Certificate in Mathletics. Well done Danielle. Keep the hard work up and try your best to motivate yourself to achieve your best at home as we only have 2 weeks left until Summer time. Keep sending me your photos. Have a great week ahead.
