P5 Pupil of the Week 8th May

7th May 2020

Well done to all the children in P5 who are working hard at home doing lots of helpful jobs. It’s great to hear that everyone is trying their best and helping out whenever they can. Caoimhe has been busy between doing her work, baking, cooking and cycling. Many children are in the garden and tending to fruit and vegetables. This is a hard job as you need to give it your full commitment for them to survive. Maya has been very busy in her greenhouse and Senan has also been busy outside.

Niamh D sent photos of a tent/hut that she made to find some peace and quiet while others decided it would be best to camp outside in the garden for the night.  Some created beautiful May alters as May is the month of Mary. Many have been practising their prayers and learning the Hail Holy Queen Prayer. Tara, Leah and Kayleigh made rainbows to thank our key workers and the NHS. Leah and Kaleigh are very proud of their big sister Margaret who has just started her new job as a nurse working in a hospital. Stay safe Mags!

I was happy to see Niall practising spellings and learning the times tables and division facts. A special congratulations to Joe and Niamh C who reached their Term 3 AR targets – it only took them 3 weeks!! This is a big achievement as it’s not always easy trying to quiz from home.

I received some wonderful poems that children created themselves. We also have videos from Liam and Naoise. Make sure you read and listen to them because they will make you giggle and feel happy.

Thank you for sharing and sending your wonderful work to me. Well done. Our P5 star workers are pictured below:
