P2 November News

30th Nov 2022

We continued our apple topic after Halloween and we made stewed apple and tasted apple juice.  We added plenty of sugar to the brambley apples when we made it as we found out they can be very sour.  Some of us even added cinnamon too.  It was so good lots of people asked for second helpings including Mr Quinn!!

During literacy we have been learning about Fairy Tales especially Little Red Riding Hood.  We enjoyed lots of literacy activities and we also made masks, dressed up and acted out the story.

During phonics we made lots of words using only the letters SATPIN.  We found out there are at least 19 words can be made.

In Maths we have been working on measurement and we found out that Iona and Odhran Mccreesh are the tallest and Anna ONeill and Miceal Garvey are the smallest!

After school art has been continuing with the second group and they have very busy making tractors.  Watch this space next time to see pictures when they are finished.

We finished our apple topic very recently with a delicious tart made by Charlie’s mum!! Thank you Kathleen 😋
