This month in the beautiful weather we enjoyed Sports Day. We had lots of races including running, 3 legged race, relay, obstacle and sack races. We particularly enjoyed the sack races ( have a look at the videos below ).
We are very grateful to Mrs Quinn ( Nialls mum) who helped us plant magic bean seeds in our poly tunnel. We hope with our magic powers they will grow as tall as the one in Jack and the Beanstalk. Some of us planted some strawberry plants in the poly tunnel too with Norah. We are watering them very carefully and watching them grow too.
We took part in litter pick with rest of the school on Friday. We filled 2 whole bags!!
We also learned facts about how things grow and learned parts of a plant/flower and their function. We read a lovely story about Vincent Van Gogh and we drew sunflowers for display using chalk.
During our maths topic on time we took our learning outside and made clocks on the school yard using chalk.
We visited the Church and graveyard as part of our Religion curriculum. We saw different parts of the Church including stain glass windows, altar, Statue of Mary and Baptismal font.
