P2 June News 2025
We have been enjoying active Maths and English both inside and outside the school. We have been measuring different classroom objects with our feet and our handspans. We have been measuring the weights of different objects using balancing scales. We have been filling different containers to see which holds more and less and comparing them.
During outside play in Literacy we have been going on a word hunt in our playground to see who can find the most words . During outside Maths we have also been investigating who can find the oldest tree by counting the rings on the tree stumps.
In the month of June we raised lots of money through Break the rules day by wearing non uniform , eating unhealthy snacks etc and we had 3 fun activity days with bouncy castles, 2 days thanks to P7 Enterprise days and one day from Karl McQuaid which we thoroughly enjoyed.
To finish off the year we took our Teddy Bears to the park for a picnic and we were very lucky to have a visit from Archie’s Granny Teresa Nugent from WALD center too to chat about our feelings and emotions and strategies to help us when we feel sad or unhappy.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the boys and girls a lovely summer 🤩
