P2 January and February News

10th Mar 2022

Primary Two have been very busy in January and February.

In January we made ice decorations with natural items that we picked up during our winter walk.  We froze them over night in a freezer and hung them outside and watched them melt.

We also learned all about birds and took part in the ‘Big Schools Bird Watch’ with lots of other schools around the UK.  We also enjoyed making our own robins, bird masks, bird snappers, binoculars and lots more bird activities.

In February we started a new topic ‘Pets and Vets’.  Rosa McShane with her sister Eileen (P5) took in her Guinea Pigs and told us how she cares for her pets Popcorn and Muffin!  Watch this space for more animal visitors..........

We were also very lucky to have a very talented mum Mrs McMahon who came into do ‘Move,Breathe, Stretch classes with p1 and p2 and will be coming in to do the exercises with the whole school in conjunction with SPOT (St Patrick’s Operation Transformation).
