Primary 1 and Primary 2 classes went on a school trip last week to the Palace Stables to learn all about apples. We had a great time making apple juice using an apple press. We played games with apples and learned about the journey of apples during the year. We all had a great time.
We also have been very busy in class learning all about the different variety of apples and we got to taste some last week too. Niamh’s granny made us an apple tart. It was delicious also.
We have been learning about autumn and we went on an autumn walk where we found lots of autumn things.
At Halloween we dressed up, made pumpkins and Skeltons. Nicole made a witches potion and we also enjoyed ducking for apples.
We enjoyed the jersey day also and made red, yellow and black plaits and jerseys too. We would like to congratulate St Patrick’s for winning the Atty Hearty cup and wish them well on their Ulster campaign!!
