Primary 3 News!

We’ve had a very exciting time in Primary 3 recently!

Literacy
We’ve been learning all about singular and plural words, how to use commas and exploring past and present tense verbs. Benny the Dinosaur even paid us a special visit! He helped us write instructions like “How to Feed Your Dinosaur,” “How to Wash Your Dinosaur,” and “How to Draw a Dinosaur.” The children loved becoming expert instruction writers!

Numeracy
We’ve been learning to tell the time on analogue and digital clocks, including o’clock, half past and quarter past. We also used our problem-solving skills to tackle money challenges—making amounts with coins and giving change.

World Around Us
Our new topic is Dinosaurs! We discovered what dinosaurs are, where they lived, and sorted them into carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores. We even learned about Mary Anning, a famous paleontologist, and made our own fossil dinosaur footprints—what a fantastic experience!

Continuous Provision
Every Wednesday, we enjoy dinosaur-themed activities that let us explore, create, and have fun with friends. We’ve been making dinosaur art, building habitats, creating fossils and writing dinosaur fact files. It’s a brilliant way to learn through play!

PDMU
We explored two important ideas:
Diversity – Everyone is unique! Different families, cultures and traditions make our world special.
Responsibility – We all have jobs at home and school. Being responsible means helping, caring and making good choices.

Our big message: It’s great to be different and important to care for each other!

Primary 3 have been working so hard and learning so much—well done, everyone!
