May in Primary 4
May was an extremely busy month in Primary 4 and it started off in a fantastic way with our First Holy Communion.
We spent many weeks preparing and had a wonderful day celebrating with our families and friends. When we returned to school on the Tuesday we enjoyed our delicious cake and we want to say a MASSIVE thank you to the Friends of Cullyhanna for the party.
In class we have been very busy learning lots of new things. In numeracy we have been working on some problem solving activities and exploring time. In literacy we continued our word work, looking at compound words and opposites. We participated in a resilience workshop, which was lots of fun and gave us some great advice.
One of our favourite activities this month was participating in a NewsDesk competition with Belfast Zoo. We had to research an animal from the zoo and use AdobeExpress to animate a character that would tell all about it. We had great fun finding out lots of new facts about our animals - check out our videos below!
We finished off the month with a litter pick and literacy week that included a dress up day.
