May in P.3
Our Fantastic Learning in P3
We have been very busy in P3 and have been having lots of fun while learning new things!
Literacy
In Literacy, we started our exciting author study all about Julia Donaldson. We learned about her life and enjoyed exploring lots of her wonderful stories. We discovered how to compare two stories by looking at their similarities and differences.
We also learned about book reviews and why they are important. Everyone chose their own Julia Donaldson story and wrote a fantastic book review – we loved sharing our opinions! We have also started to build our skills in answering comprehension questions, helping us to understand stories even better.
Numeracy
In Numeracy, we worked hard learning how to sort information using Carroll diagrams and Venn diagrams. We became coding experts too! We learned the importance of giving clear instructions and had great fun coding figures to travel across a treasure map. Even better, we created our own codes for our friends to follow – it was so exciting!
The World Around UsIn WAU, we continued our fascinating topic on minibeasts. We learned lots of interesting facts about ants and worms and why they are so important to our world. We got creative and made our own ants using coloured paper and designed wiggly worms using Cheerios and pipe cleaners.
We are so proud of all our hard work and can’t wait to keep learning, exploring and having fun together in P3!
