March in Primary One.
This month we explored the season of Spring, looking at flowers and trees blossoming around our school grounds. We set up a Hospital where the nurses and doctors treated sick people. World book day was really enjoyable especially seeing everyone dressed up as their favourite characters. St. Patrick’s day was celebrated in style with our class performing in front of the whole school. We decorated some buns for our mummies and gave them a daffodil bulb that we planted in October. A special trip to Armagh Palace Stables taught us about trees and animals during Spring. As we are nearly at the time of Easter we have made lots of bunnies and ducklings in art. We investigated eggs and like Humpty Dumpty, we tested some eggs wrapped in different materials to see which one cracked the least when it fell from our handmade wall….we were surprised at the results. Happy Easter to all.
