We were delighted to welcome our past pupil and member of our Board of Governors, Maeve Murray from Netball Northern Ireland to our school for two engaging and inspiring sessions with our P4-P6 girls. Maeve began by showing the girls the rules of netball – this sparked great enthusiasm and participation. The girls impressed Maeve with their knowledge and curiosity, asking thoughtful questions about the game, training and opportunities in netball.
Maeve’s visit deepened their understanding of the sport but also encouraged many to get more involved in netball both inside and outside the school. Two of our past pupils Frances and Oriana Keenan still play netball for Northern Ireland!
A big thank you to Maeve for giving up her time and supporting and empowering our young athletes.
