June in Primary 6

28th Jun 2023

A busy month in Primary 6. We started the month with an iPad Workshop with Mr Barry Murphy. We used an app called GarageBand which uses virtual instruments and loops to create a collaborative piece of music.  We based our song on The Titanic - “ It was sad when that Great Ship went down.”

Our school celebrated the school’s 50th Golden Jubliee anniversary in style with a party that lasted the whole day.  We enjoyed the magician, inflatables and everything else on the day. (See Photos in News)

We enjoyed participating in our annual Sports Day and our Gaelic and netball tournaments.  Dublin won the netball and Armagh won the Gaelic. The excitement is building for next year- already!!

We took part in the Miceal Murphy annual quiz and were delighted that Orla O’H and Lauren were part of the winning team. Everyone got treats at the end.

In Accelerated Reader Annie Mackin became a Multi-Millionaire. She has read over two and half million words throughout Primary 6. An excellent achievement!

Have a lovely summer everyone. Enjoy the rest and stay safe.
