This month we had lots of learning opportunities in and outside of the classroom. We hung the Brat Bhríde given to us by Una Walsh on the school cherry tree. We mixed lots of ingredients together to make pancakes. For Valentine’s Day we made beautiful cards and gave them to our loved ones at home. We worked with neumecon tiles and sequenced numbers up to five and ten. We learned about ‘Time’ and how we grew from a baby to us now as five year olds. We made clocks and learned to tell the time on them. ‘ People who help Us’ is one of our topics for the term and we invited Nurse Bronagh in to our class to talk to us about her work. We dressed up as doctors and nurses helping our friends who were sick. We noticed how our bulbs that we planted in October are growing and all the Spring flowers are beginning to blossom around our school grounds.
