December in P2!

18th Dec 2025

What a wonderful and festive month we've had in P2 this December!

The children were so excited to welcome a special visit from Santa, and everyone had great fun dressing up for Christmas Jumper Day. Our Christmas dinner was a joyful occasion, we even made our own hats to wear with tinsel.

Literacy: We focused on a fun describing Santa activity, where the children discussed what Santa wears, what his favorite foods are, and how many reindeer he has. Following this, they really enjoyed writing heartfelt letters to Santa, where they expressed their wishes with excitement. This really got us in the festive spirit!

Numeracy: The children explored 3D shapes, data handling, the story of numbers, understanding how to give and follow instructions and much more, sparking their love and curiosity for numeracy.

World Around Us: We had lots of fun learning about forest animals. The children discovered what different animals eat and where they live. They practiced writing sentences about their findings. We also explored animal prints, which helped us to understand how animals move and live in the forest.

Art: The children enjoyed being creative when making beautiful snow globes for their Christmas trees as well as making some fabulous reindeer.

It's been a month filled with learning, laughter and Christmas Cheer! We can't wait to see what the new year brings for P2!

We would like to thank everyone for your continued support. We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
