📚 February in Mr Digney's P7 🌟
February has been a busy and exciting month in P7!
This month, we explored debating skills and dipped our toes into the world of journalistic writing. Pupils especially enjoyed investigating an alternative account of the classic tale The Three Little Pigs, thinking critically about perspective and bias.
In Numeracy, we tackled real‑life skills including budgeting, interest rates on savings, and working with scale drawings. The class showed great enthusiasm and maturity as they explored how these concepts apply to everyday life.
Through WAU, we continued our learning about the world of business. Our Young Enterprise “Business Beginnings” programme is well underway, and the excitement is building as we approach the production and eventual sale of our products later this year. Fantastic teamwork all round!
We also made the most of a break in the bad weather to begin our ‘Giving Back’ project. Pupils rolled up their sleeves and worked together to clear areas around the school in preparation for new outdoor play zones. A brilliant effort and great community spirit!
