St Patrick's PS Fundraising hits new Heights

28th Jun 2021

In Term 3 we have hit new heights with our fundraising efforts for local charities that have a special place in the hearts of the St Patrick's school community. It started in early May as we celebrated with our special P2 pupil, mighty Jack Tynan who recently completed his treatment for Leukemia. We had a special ring the bell event day for Jack and in the process raised £1012 for the children's cancer care unit.  At the end of May we held a non uniform day in aid of the Brody and Cooper appeal and raised £630. Brody and Cooper are cousins of the McMahon family who attend our school and the family have raised over £100,000 so far to provide specialist treatment for these two special boys to receive in America.  In June, the staff of St Patrick's decided to raise money for the Mandeville Cancer care unit in Craigavon. A walking challenge, coffee morning, and non uniform day raised a tremendous total of £2000! Altogether £3642 has been raised through the generosity of our parents, staff and wider school community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our efforts.
