P5 Virtual Sports Week

26th Jun 2020

Hello boys and girls

It was a busy week for me and many in P5 as we took part in our virtual sports week.  Lots of competition took place between older and younger members of the family as well as granny’s, cousins and friends alike. I myself took part in 3 sports day events throughout the week and I’m absolutely exhausted however it was all good fun and it was the taking part that counted the most.

You were all very adventurous and added in a few extra activities. The photos and videos you sent were brilliant there is nothing like capturing real events on the camera and recording them and if you were brave enough you didn’t do a retake. They made me smile, laugh and nearly cry all at the same time as well as hold my breath. Special mention to Joan Boylan for keeping up her exercise routine and for taking part in most of the events for fun.

Well done to you all. We had joint winners for most places. Remember to print off your certificate. So here are the results:

1st  Liam, Niall & Blinne

2nd  Joe

3rd  Niamh D, Maia & Amy-Rose

A special well done to Adam, Frank, Senan, Ava, Niamh C, Tara, Caoimhe, Karla, Kayleigh and Leah who all took the time to enjoy themselves while taking part in sports day!!

Thank you all so much for all the hard work, effort, perseverance and determination that you have shown in school and during the time that you have stayed at home and completed work through our online learning platform.

I feel very privileged that both you and your parent/guardian took the opportunity and time to share your wonderful efforts with me. Speaking from my own experience, it helped to keep me in a bit of routine but I’m sure that you are now delighted that this time is nearing an end.

I would like to thank you all for being you and never giving up when things seem challenging. Always ask for help if and when you think you need it. Be proud of everything you have done or achieved during this time. I’m so proud of each and every one of you and I have no doubt that you will still be the best class in the school when you move into P6. Mrs McMahon is so lucky to have you all moving into her class in September and I know you will continue to thrive to work hard and bond together as a class.

Thank you all for the time you have shared with me and I look forward to seeing you all again. Enjoy the summer holidays and have fun but most of all remember to look after yourself, stay safe and be kind to everyone you meet.

God bless you all

Lots of love Mrs Murray & Mr Duffy
